Our Story

We started off in 2014 as a recreational gymnastics club. The aim was to give children a good sampling of the different gymnastics disciplines whiles developing their fundamental movement skills in a fun environment. Throughout my years as a gymnastics coach the ratio of females to males was always 10:1, regardless of how much the boys enjoyed the classes I couldn’t get them to stay in the female dominant environment. In an attempt to upskill I began to explore circus arts and hand balancing. This is, I knew, would attract the boys and keep them coming to class. It is from combining my gymnastics skills, the vast sporting experience of my business partner, Sarah, and our love of circus arts and handbalancing and parkour that Ninja Fitness was born.
